Saturday 4th May: All About Birds 14.00-15.00

The Burren National Park Information Point will be holding an information and art workshop as part of the Festival of Finn on the May bank holiday weekend.

We will be learning about birds that live in the Burren National Park. We will finish by decorating paper birds and nests to take home.

The workshop is free but booking is essential as places are limited.

Suitable for children aged 5-10.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sunday 19th May: Nature Trail (Green Arrow Route) - 14.15

We will be offering a free guided walk along the Nature Trail in the Burren National Park.

Meet at Mullaghmore Crossroads, Gortlecka, at 14.15.

Fri 24th and Sat 25th May: Bioblitz 2013

Burren National Park is competing in this years Bioblitz. Ireland’s BioBlitz brings together scientists and recorders in a race against time to see how many species can be recorded in a 24-hour biological survey of four of Ireland’s heritage sites. The public is invited to observe the activities, interact with the recorders and participate in the range of other activities arranged by the host venues. It will start at 17.00hrs on Friday 24th May and end precisely 24 hours later at 17.00hrs on Saturday 25th May.

Free Guided Walks in the Burren National Park

 

We offer free guided walks throughout the National Park covering such topics as Burren flora and fauna, geology and management practices. These will be organised on a regular basis between May and August 2013.
