The Burren National Park Information Point is on the ground floor of the Clare Heritage Centre on Church Street in Corofin, Co. Clare.
It is managed by the National Parks and Wildlife Service (www.npws.ie) and is open to the public from April until the end of September. Our staff provide information on the formation, management, flora and fauna of the Burren National Park. Entrance to the Burren National Park Information Point is free.
Our aim is to provide information on the Burren National Park and to promote conservation through awareness and education. Free walks, talks and activities suitable for all are organised on a regular basis. Guided walks for groups (4 people and more) can be booked in advance.
Visitors to the Information Point are welcome to try out our specially designed interactive tour app of the National Park’s White Arrow – Nature Trail. From Gort, Co. Galway
From the main street in Gort, take the R460 at the square. After 500 m. the road turns right at the SuperValu shopping centre. Follow the R460 until you reach Corofin (c.23 km). The Burren National Park Information Point is on the left before the church.
From Ennis, Co. Clare
From Ennis, take the N85 towards Ennistimon. Turn right on to the R476 and go straight until you reach Corofin (c.10 km). Go over the bridge then take the first right on to Church Street. The Burren National Park Information Point is on the right after the church.
From Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare
From Ballyvaughan, take the N67 south-west then turn left on to the R480. After 15 km you will reach a junction at the ruins of Leamaneh Castle. Turn left on to the R476 following signs for Corofin. Go straight until you reach Corofin (c.8 km). Drive along the main street then turn left on to Church Street. The Burren National Park Information Point is on the right after the church.
